The mission of Antardhwani is to connect people and spread awareness about managing Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) in Gujarat. We support research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of ankylosing spondylitis as well as the dissemination of information on research progress in this diseases. The primary focus of ASA of India is on research, patient advocacy, education and support, as well as raising awareness about this disease. The group consists of rheumatologists, physical therapists, and patients, with a diverse representation of participants.

What We Do

Antardhwani is an organization of the people suffering from ankylosing spondylitis who wish to improve their knowledge and the ability to manage the condition. The group also shares a number of goals and objectives for people and families living with ankylosing spondylitis.

Our aim is to provide the following:

  • Provide fora for the exchange of ideas and their experiences.
  • Disseminate the latest and updated information to patients as well as medical professionals on ankylosing spondylitis.
  • Provide and coordinate events, workshops, and seminars on AS.
  • Cooperate and interact with local, interstate, and international AS and peer support groups including participation in their events and activities.
  • Arrange social events and activities for the group members, their families and friends.

This group is an initiative by Pranit Banthia, Founder & CEO of Hi-Tech Group of Companies, who has AS condition since ≈24 years. There were times when his body did not allow him to move and he was completely bed-ridden. His condition improved over the course of time with the help of the right combination of medicines, workouts, alternative therapy, and dietary habits. Now he lives a virtually normal and healthy life.

Through this support group, we intend to provide resources and share our knowledge and experience with the local AS community. This support group will act as a platform for the AS community and experts to come together, discuss personal experiences, provide guidance, and interact with doctors and physiotherapists. We look forward to help and support the people with AS so that they can make more informed choices in the management of their condition.

This support group will enable the local AS community to connect with their peers globally, who can assist them further with their knowledge, share experiences, and provide recommendations.

Let us help each other and look forward to a healthy life ahead for all!

Now Antardhwani is the 38th member of Ankylosing Spondylitis International Federation (ASIF).
